Stepping into the Energy Healing System and Lineage of Usui Reiki expands your vibrational state, empowering embodied wisdom, transformational growth and undertanding as you walk the Healer’s Path.
Level One Training and Attunement opens you to receive and facilitate the flow of the Reiki-Ray, becoming a vessel for hands-on healing of the Sacred, Universal Life Force Energy. This is in turn provides a powerful, integrative and supportive energetic foundation and lineage for you to draw upon in your healing work.
Whether you seek to learn Reiki for just yourself or to provide healing to others, receiving the Level One Attunement will open and align energetic pathways so that you can tap into potent healing frequencies.
During Reiki Level One Training, you will learn:
What is Reiki & Energy Healing all about, the history, ethics, guiding principles and precepts of Traditional Usui Reiki.
Winifred will share wisdom, techniques and healing work processes gained from over 25 years of her own practice as a Reiki Master Teacher and Spirit Worker.
You will leave ready to practice Reiki on yourself, family, friends, pets and present surroundings (IE: plants, home, car, workspace, the Earth).

Reiki Level One TRaining with Winifred Costello
This is an In-Person Training during which you will learn:
- What is Reiki & Energy Healing
- The History of Traditional Reiki
- The guiding principles and precepts of Reiki and Ethics
- The process, techniques and hand placements that accompany Level One
- How to practice Reiki on yourself, friends, loved ones and immediate surroundings
- Receive the Level One Reiki Attunement & Certification (Usui Raku-Kei Reiki Lineage)
- Time for hands-on practice with Winifred’s guidance
Is There a Lunch Break ?
Our time together includes a 45 minute break for lunch, but lunch is not included. Please bring a bag lunch, any snacks and beverages you require for the day. There are many local spots to grab food and drink in downtown Northampton.
Do I Need to Bring Anything ?
There will be educational hand outs but many folks like to bring a notebook and pen. It is recommended to wear comforable clothing.

Winifred Costello , Reiki Master Teacher since 1997
Winifred has held and worked with the Reiki Vibrational Lineage since she received her training with Wendy Weatherwax in the 1990’s, including maintaining her own healing arts practice with clients and students for over 20 years. She brings a respectful approach to teaching Reiki, drawing upon her many years of direct experience, study and training within energy healing systems, spirit work, ancestor work, folk magick and witchcraft.
She has spent considerable time unpacking and evaluating the problematic colonial underpinnings of Western Reiki in order to reconstruct a more aware practice with teachings that are mindful of cultural appropriation and the importance of harm reduction.
She works to have an informed, integrative and inclusive method, one that strives to be aware of unconscious bias, seeks to know the deeper mystery traditions of her own culture, and those she has studied in, and how all that informs her teaching others to step into their roles as healers.
As a teacher, Winifred is focused on providing deep support and robust teachings, centered on empowering her students to claim their personal agency and find their unique way of working with the energies of Reiki so that they can confidently, and competently, step onto their path as Healers. She encourages her students to have an intuitive, responsive and compassionate approach to healing, rooted in listening, witnessing and creating safe space.
Winifred is an engaging and approachable mentor to her students, maintaining ongoing connection and relationships with them long after the “official” training ends.
