Hag Stones & Tea Leaves, Ritual of the Seer
Working with the Art of Divination to Empower Inner Knowing is the focus of our magick.
Join us in Ritual on Wed. September 3rd as we reach through the Veil to gain insight from the Unseen Realms while working the Seer’s Tools of Hagstones and Tea Leaves.
We will begin our ritual by empowering our Psychic Vision with a custom blended tea and an specially crafted anointing oil. Then we will open the Seer’s Way, working with Hag Stones to journey through the Veil and step into the Realms of Inner Knowing. Hag Stones have a rich folkloric history as being Seer Stones, offering a gateway you can peer through that aids you in entering the Realm of Faery and the Great In-Between. They are also known for lending protection.
From there we will commune with the messages held in brewed waters, what is known as scrying with tea leaves. Together we will read the patterns of leaves left behind in the dregs of tea in your cup that has taken on your energetic vibration. This is an ancient divination practice with roots in many cultures, ranging across the Earth, from the China to Scotland that invites inner contemplation and reflection.
**We respect your agency, there will be in invitation to drink the herbal tea provided, but absolutely no pressure or obligation to do so. (Ingredients will be shared at the time of the ritual and will include safe and gentle herbs.) Participants can also energetically connect with the mystical brew rather than drinking it in order to infuse your vibration into the tea leaves.
As we head towards the Autumn Equinox, we can partner with the in-drawing seasonal tide happening all around us as the days begin to shorten and night lengthens. As we bring in and savor the Harvests of Summer, we feel the quickening of Autumn’s winds of change ruffling our souls. Our Ritual will empower us to lean into our inner wisdom through reflection that will guide us as we head into the descent towards Samhain.
Ritual is a powerful sacred space to remember and reclaim our authentic selves, nourish our roots, empower our visions, and deepen our collective strength.
Once we have completed our magick, we will ground the working in our bones and the earth for hope and continued healing.
After the Ritual, attendees are welcome to stay for socializing and sharing in a light snack.
Winifred and Anthony both have many, many years of experience and training in mindfully guiding deep magick within community ceremonies. Our Rituals are intentionally kept small in the number of attendees, so we can facilitate a more focused and deeply supportive magickal experience.
The monthly Rituals at AwenTree are facilitated by Winifred and Anthony. Participants are invited to actively participate in co-creating deep and sacred work inside a safe, ritual space held within a magickal circle of protection.

Winifred has over 30 years experience, training and practice in Paganism, Witchcraft and Folk Magick Traditions. She weaves together her knowledge in the Craft with the spiritual tools of Energy Healing, Reiki and Tarot to help students create empowered transformation in their lives. She is an Intuitive Tarot Reader, Reiki Master Teacher, Certified Hypnotherapist and Past Life Regression Certified Facilitator. She is the Proprietress of AwenTree and the Founder & Mentor of the Witching Well Community. Winifred is an Initiated High Priestess in the Temple of Witchcraft Tradition having graduated from the 5+ year long mystery school and ministry training.
About Anthony Gladu:
Artist, Gardener, Herbalist, Magickal Practitioner and Tarot Reader. Anthony has been on his spiritual journey and practicing Witchcraft for many years. He has completed the coursework of Year 3 in the Temple of Witchcraft Mystery School. Anthony is excited to be able to facilitate safe, sacred space for folk to gather together for ritual and a bit of magick.
