Death Journaling; A Workshop with Adam David
Death comes to everyone and everything, though hopefully only after long, healthy, and happy lives. We can either hide from this reality, or we can face it from a place of increased comfort, acceptance, and strength.
It is never too soon to contemplate the various ways the energies of death, dying, and end-of-life will intersect our lives, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. For many of us, these subjects are difficult, deeply emotional, and sometimes they are forbidden topics. With Adam’s guidance, participants will be invited to consider the sacred process of death within the context of a pagan and earth-centered perspective.
In this workshop, Adam will open a safe, respectful, and compassionate space to explore the following:
• Define what a Death Journal is
• Different ways to approach a Death Journal
• Break the ice on death-related topics in an approachable manner
• Offer practice with some journal prompts
• Review sample Death Journals available
• Discuss options for what to do with a Death Journal so you can continue on your on

Adam’s heart-centered approach will invite you to live life, death-aware not death-obsessed, and with that awareness encourage you to find joy, happiness, health, and prosperity as you embrace life to the fullest.
Adam is passionate in his mission to empower folks to expand their consciousness around the reality that death is part of living. That while we will all die, we can reclaim our personal agency and healing through discussion, thinking, and planning to make that transitional experience as loving, personal, spiritual, and peaceful as possible. To do this sacred work is anything but morbid, bleak, or negative. In truth, it is quite the opposite, it is the sacred craft of living and dying well.
Cost $10, pre-Registration is requested, however folks can register & pay at the door that evening
About Adam David
Adam is a Deathwalker/Death Doula/End-of-Life Doula who studies profusely, trains, contemplates, and practices an effort to help others (those dying, planning ahead, and their loved ones) to make an effort to experience their best death. He finally tired of saying and hearing, “There must be a better way!” There is a better way, and though it is still a taboo subject in much of Western culture, he has been called to step out and claim a role in helping the curious and the willing to find that way. Adam has successfully completed the End of Life Doula Certificate Program at Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont.
