SUMMARY:Annual Ancestor Ritual [Wed. Oct 28th]
DESCRIPTION:Our Annual Ancestor RITUAL: Stones and Petals for the Dead\n\n\n\n\nHow our ritual evening will flow: \n  \nWe will begin with our Community Ancestor Altar \nWe begin our evening honoring our Ancestors at our community altar that will be set up outside in the small courtyard area adjacent to AwenTree. Participants are invited to add offerings and place photos/moments of their Beloved Dead. Once we have finished dressing our Ancestor Altar\, we will Illuminate the way to the Samhain Gate by “setting candles” bringing light to the shadow that envelops us at this time of year. We will honor and call upon the Exalted Ancestors and Mighty Dead who aid us in our healing\, for their guidance\, blessings and protection. \n  \nOnce our candles are lit and the names of our Exhalted Ancestors are read out\, we will move into our River of Blood Healing Work\, Stones and Petals for the Dead.  \n  \nStones and Petals for the Dead \n\n\n\nWinifred Costello and Anthony Gladu\, together\, will facilitate an Ancestor Healing Practice working with Stones (releasing ancestral burdens and difficult aspects) and Petals (remembrances of love\, comfort and blessings) in regards to our ancestors. This is a ritual practice that is works with two current held within the River of Blood. The current that needs healing\, repairing\, releasing and re-calibrating and the current that offers ancestral wisdom\, support and love.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe respect everyone’s agency in our ritual space\, so you get to choose who among the Ancestors you wish to honor\, work with and/or not work with. Remember\, Ancestor Veneration includes those who are not of our blood\, our chosen family\, spiritual lineages and more recognizing our interconnectedness.\n\n\n\n\nWeaving the Web\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen we are ready\, we will move indoors and spend time gathered around a community scrying cauldron where we will co-create a community oracle to give and receive messages of ancestral wisdom and blessings in respectfully facilitated space and with guidance from Winifred and Anthony.\n\n\n\n\nOnce the Ritual ends\, attendees are welcome to stay for sharing in a light snack and socializing.\n\n\n\n\nOur Rituals are intentionally kept small\, when it comes to the number of attendees\, so we can facilitate a focused and deeply supportive magickal experience. These sacred ceremonies are for like-minded mystical folk who desire to come together (in-person) in facilitated\, safe space to explore and embody their magick. Co-facilitated by Winifred Costello\, founder of AwenTree\, and Anthony Gladu.\n\n\n\n\nWinifred and Anthony both have many\, many years of experience and training in mindfully guiding deep magick within community ceremonies.   \n  \nOur Monthly RITUALS empower magickal restoration\, strengthen resiliency and nurture community/collective care.   \nOctober’s Ritual is on Wed. October 28th\, 7 -9 pm \nTICKETS ARE SLIDING SCALE $15-25  This helps cover the cost of the resources it takes to prepare\, create and hold sacred space. You can sign up ahead or pay at the door that evening. Please arrive by 7:15 pm.  \n\n\n \n\n\n  \nEach month features a uniquely crafted ritual\, centered on a different magickal intention and focus. While not anchored in any one specific Craft Tradition\, there still will be a grounding\, protective\, structure of a Witch’s Circle to safeguard our mutual energies. All expressions of being human and all levels of experience are welcome. \n  \n\nMeet the Facilitators of the Monthly Rituals\n  \nWinifred Costello: Initiated High Priestess\, Founder & Owner of AwenTree \nWinifred has over 30 years experience\, training and practice in Paganism\, Witchcraft and Folk Magick Traditions.
